I teach my choir the original version of “Come Again”, so I am looking forward to teaching it this year and letting them listen to a version from a “new” perspective. It just goes to show that music that is worth something, will stand the test of time.

I just stumbled across this site and I am very impressed-I love the musical taste, the layout, everything. Also, this song is quite incredible. Sting brings a unique aspect to the song that I think makes it very accessible yet distinctive. I want the cd!

I have to disagree with your takes, ladies. I love love love this song, and the entire album. It’s so different, so raw and unexpected. I saw Sting perform with Edin Karamazov on GMA or the Today show or something in the morning and bought the CD by that afternoon. It was such a refreshing angle and such a unique approach to the culture and music of that era that I knew I’d love it. I truly appreciated the vocals, mostly because of my choir background, especially on another track, “Fine Lacks for Ladies.” Even though the music is hundreds of years old, listening to each song for the first time was like a refreshing, cool, and new experience.

Sting is Sting. He just IS a cool cat. But yeah, this is is definitely not my bag, but can appreciate it.
