Sia – Breathe Me

Sia
“Breathe Me”

A couple of months ago a friend introduced me to this song. I love the sound of the upright piano. There’s something very organic and unaffected about it. One person’s interpretation of this song: “it is about being alone and wanting a friend to talk to about the worries and cares in life.”

I could certainly agree to that.

Wow, absolutely amazing. She is haunting. Her voice gives me chills, in a good way!

Ok, so not to be all ‘melodramatic’ but when I first came across this song lets just say I was in a very bad place, and it helped me to make sense of my whole life basically, and not just the four years of depression. Saying that I agree with ‘Shawna’ her voice gives me the chills as well, especially when she says ‘I have been here many times before’ because that is so true for many people. Also I agree with ‘Ann’, it’s one of my favourite songs as well.

    Thanks for posting this :]

I love this song… I wander if you could suggest some others similar, i mean, as ‘haunting’ as shawa sais ^^. I’ll look around your blog in chase of more songs.
THANK YOU for your time (for spending your time doing this blog… sorry i find it really difficult to write in english)

This is a gorgeous and very honest-sounding song. For some reason, the beginning piece sounds sort of familiar to me, although this is the first time I’ve heard it as a whole. It’s definitely not a song, though, to listen to if you’re trying to put on a happy face!

I totally agree with all of you guys, and Sarah, I don’t know what you have been through in your life, but I recognized myself in what you said. The first time I listened to this song, it was in one of the worst times of my life.
    However, trully amazing song.
